Directions to Dreamcatcher Bed and Breakfast
Check-in time begins at 3PM. It is SELF CHECK IN. You will receive check in instructions that will include a DOOR CODE the day of your check in (via email and text). Please do not access the unit before 3PM.
Please be aware that Taos is an old community (founded 1619) and many of the roads are quite curvy and narrow. While this is part of the charm of the town, it can make following directions confusing. Be careful using your GPS, it may take you in circles. Please feel free to call us if you have any difficulties finding us.
From the North
From Denver: Take the I-25 and take exit 50 – Walsenburg. After exiting the highway, turn left onto Rt. 160, follow this over the La Veta Pass to Fort Garland. When you arrive at Fort Garland, turn left onto CO highway 159 and proceed towards Taos. When you enter New Mexico, the road will become NM Rt. 522.
After driving approximately 40 miles from Fort Garland, you will reach a red light and Rt. 522 will become Rt. 64E. You will pass a Conoco gas station on the right. In 3.2 miles, turn right at the light at Camino de Placita. At the 3rd stop sign, turn right onto Don Fernando St. ( there will be a church on your right). Go straight, past the school on your right. At the 2nd stop sign, turn right onto San Antonio St., this will shortly become La Lomita Rd. We are located approximately .2 miles from where you turn left.
From the South
From the Alburquerque airport: Take I-25 north towards Santa Fe. Exit Highway 599 N, this bypasses the Santa Fe traffic. In approximately 12 miles it will intersect with Highway 84-285, follow the signs towards Espanola/Taos. In Espanola, it will become Highway 68, go straight.
Follow Highway 68 into Taos. You will pass the Visitor Center on your right. Travel a further .5 miles, and then turn left onto Camino de la Merced ( Walmart is on the corner). At the first stop sign, turn right onto Salazar Rd. Proceed 1.3 miles to the 1st light (corner of Ranchitos), go straight through the light and take the immediate left turn onto San Antonio St., we are located on your left, approximately .3 miles.
From the East
Approaching Taos on 64 W (Kit Carson Rd.). Follow signs towards the Taos Plaza. At the intersection of 64/68, go straight through the light, which will take you into the plaza. Go straight thru the Plaza towards Taos Mountain Candles, and take the very small alley (North Plaza) to the right of the store. Proceed straight through the stop sign onto Don Fernando St. (church on your right). At the 2nd stop sign, turn right onto San Antonio St. , this becomes La Lomita Rd. We are located approximately .2 miles from where you turn left onto San Antonio. We are located on your left.
From the West
Approaching Taos on Rt. 64, turn right at the traffic light where Rt. 64 and Rt. 522 meet, continue on Rt. 64 and follow the directions for coming from the North.
